I generally try to stick to writing about crime in the four corners, but once in awhile I spot a case that really catches my eye--one that I can't help writing about. The case of Allan Patton of Ohio is one such case.
Allan Patton is a convicted sex offender. In 2006, he was convicted of criminal mischief for shutting off urinals in a public restroom so that he could collect, and yes, drink the urine of young boys. At that time, he was ordered to stay away from public restrooms and forced to wear a GPS tracking device for five years. He was also put in jail at various times for violating his probation and for refusing to get counseling. Patton claims to have an illness called "urophilia", a sexual fetish in which a person drinks another's urine for sexual gratification.
Flash forward to June 2008, Patton is once again caught, allegedly shutting off urinals at Sports Ohio in Dublin, Ohio. He was allegedly attempting to collect urine to drink, again. Keep in mind that Patton is being tracked by his monitoring device.
While some people may think that Patton isn't harming anyone by drinking other people's urine, more specifically the urine of young boys, I would like to point out some of the things he allegedly told police in the video in this article on the WBNS website.
"I feel good when I drink the urine. Even though it makes me sick, it is a release to me. It's almost spiritual. I feel like it makes me closer to them, like I am drinking their youth."
The video goes on to say that Patton has "made candies with the urine, put it in cereal, and mixed it with juices". Patton also allegedly said he has "bathed in urine, poured it over himself, and let it dry to the point where he has ruined a mattress" .
It is important to point out that so far, there has been no accusations of Patton actually touching or harming a child, but as you can see from the video, and from the words of the judge that put Patton in jail before for probation violations--you can't help but wonder how far Patton will go to get the urine. Drinking urine is sick, disgusting, and probably not good for you, but apparently there is no law against it.
