Her car is still missing and Amber Hess is still listed as missing. But a badly burned body found in Florence, Arizona may be Amber.
Pinal County sheriff's officials said Monday that they couldn't positively identify Amber LeAnn Hess, 17, although items at the scene are linked to her family's house, where there was blood and other signs of violence in the kitchen."The two things are definitely connected," Chief Deputy Jerald Monahan said.Florence is approximately 25-30 miles south of Queen Creek, where Amber lived with her parents.
(*NOTE: When I googled the distance between Queen Creek and Florence, it gave me a distance of 26 miles. According to reports, the suspected body of Amber gives a distance of 15 miles from her home.)
I really hope that this is not Amber's body, but because of the fact that they have linked items from the home to the crime scene, it doesn't seem like a likely outcome.
Who would do this to a young girl so full of promise who, according to her uncle in this news article, was thinking about becoming a clothing designer?
I searched for information related to Amber with little luck. My first instinct is perhaps she met someone online, someone she 'thought' she knew but someone who only wanted to do her harm, in the end. The only thing I was able to find online was something that I'm not convinced was related to her. So for that reason, I'm not going to post it.
If this is Amber, sadly, her parents become members of a club where no one wants to be a member.

I have just learned via breaking news that two 16-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the death of Amber LeAnn Hess. I will update this entry with more information when it becomes available.
